The Traders Dynamic Index (TDI) puts price momentum, signal, and volatility into one sub-window, using five lines to show you the current state of the market at a glance. Instead of the usual RSI, it builds momentum from the Chande Momentum Oscillator (CMO), which tends to react a bit faster to turns.
A buy or sell signal shows up when the price line crosses the signal line. When the volatility bands narrow, the market is often coiling for a breakout; when they widen, volatility is picking up.
What it shows you
- Trend direction: where the price line sits relative to the baseline
- Momentum strength: the CMO-based price line reading
- Volatility state: how wide or narrow the upper and lower bands are

- Price line crossing above the signal line leans bullish, below leans bearish
