Supertrend Indicator

Supertrend plots a single color-changing trend line right on your chart, so you can tell at a glance whether the market is trending up or down. When the line sits below price and turns green, the trend is up; when it flips above price and turns red, the trend has turned down.

The line is built from market volatility (ATR), forming a trailing band that follows price. In choppy conditions the band widens so normal swings don't shake you out; when volatility cools it tightens to catch direction changes sooner. The line only ratchets in the favorable direction and never pulls back, so it stays with a trend once it starts.

What it shows you

• Green line below price = uptrend, red line above price = downtrend; a color flip marks the turn
• The flip points work as a reference level for trailing your stop
• It filters noisy price action down to one clear directional read

How to use it

• A switch from green to red (or back) flags a possible reversal; confirm it with your own entry rules
• Built-in pop-up, mobile push, and email alerts fire on every trend flip, so you don't have to watch the screen
• Choose whether alerts trigger on the current candle or the closed candle, to match the sensitivity you want
