Gold Trend Surfer Strategy

Gold Trend Surfer is a trend-following EA built specifically for XAUUSD. The idea is simple: figure out the bigger direction first, wait for a pullback to get on board, then let the trade ride the trend.

It doesn't try to call tops or bottoms. A long-period moving average locks in the master trend direction, and entries only happen on pullbacks in line with that trend, which keeps it out of choppy, rangebound noise. A volatility filter sits on top, so when the market goes flat it simply stays out.

Core Logic

• Reads the master trend from a higher-timeframe moving average and only trades with it, never against
• Enters when price pulls back into the moving-average value zone and then prints a strong breakout confirmation
• Uses an ATR-based stop that adapts to current volatility instead of a fixed point distance

Risk & Position Management

• Sizes each trade as a percentage of account balance, so per-trade risk stays fixed and controlled
• At 1R it scales out half the position and moves the stop to breakeven, then trails the rest with ATR to let the trend run
• Built-in daily drawdown, total drawdown, daily profit target and max-exposure guards that pause trading automatically when a limit is hit
• Includes session and spread filters plus a visual panel showing trend, volatility and open-position status in real time
